What single entity has the most dynamic affect on a flocks genetics? In a word the mighty RAM! Where should we never skimp when we go to purchase additions to our flock - the ram? Half the genetics in our flocks is contributed by one single ram.
I currently have two yearling sires:
- Frank my Fullblood Dorper that was born in March 2009.
- Jack my Purebred Dorper that was born in April 2009.
As well as Frank and Jack I have three ram lambs from this years 2010 crop that I will let grow out and see if they continue to have outstanding growth numbers.
